Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Imran Khan, said that the economic experts of the party have prepared well-thought reform programme in education, taxation, power, governance and eradicating corruption from the country.

Speaking at a meeting of Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI), he said that reform's programme has been drafted in consultation with key stakeholders and reform programme includes reforms in energy, expenditures, taxation, industrial, education and health sectors.

He said that Party economic policy would not only help in resolving the country economic woes, but would also help in putting the country on the highway of economic stability. He said that the Party planned to carry out deep reforms that would make state institutions empowered, accountable and transparent. It planned to devolve power from the central and provincial capitals and empower local communities at the grass-roots level.

He said that tax reforms will make taxes just and equitable and revamp the Federal Bureau of Revenue (FBR); institutional reforms will focus on empowering and depoliticising institutions; and education and health reforms aim at increasing their budget allocation five to six times.

He said that budgetary deficit will be reduced and bought to zero in a stage vise programme and law will be enacted to bar government from taking aid from foreign countries. He said that the Railway Ministry will be abolished and it will work under an autonomous board instead of the government. He added that the Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) will also be taken out of the control of the Ministry of Defence after coming into power in next elections.

He said that the Party has people of integrity and courage who can take difficult decisions and implement them bravely. This team will take on mafias, cartels and wrongdoers when the Party comes to power. PTI Chief said that it would be the first time when 40 million new young voters will cast their votes in coming general elections.

Khan said the PTI is the only Party which has decided to hold intra-party election in next three weeks and all its members have posted their tax statements on PTI website.

He said that governor and chief minister's houses in all the provinces will be converted in to pubic libraries, playgrounds and educational institutions. There is no chance for Asif Zardari and Nawaz Sharif to rule this country in future for times have changed and so have the people. They would have to face strict accountability.

He reiterated his resolve to flush out corrupt and selfish politicians from the country and put an end to dynastic politics. Criticising the ruling party PPP and its coalition partners, Khan said both the leaders of PML-N and PPP do not want to resolve the crisis within the country.

Imran said both the major political parties of the country are involved in corruption. He said if the PTI came in power‚ its top most priority would be to root out corruption. Imran Khan said the reign of corrupt and inept politicians is over and the PTI government would recover the plundered wealth of the nation. He said it is matter of concern that 67 percent members of parliament do not pay taxes. Referring to NAB's report on corruption, Khan said it was enough to gauge the performance and dedication of the ruling parties.

Khan added that NAB pointed out the level of corruption stood at 65 percent in Punjab alone, where PML-N has been ruling for the last five years. After the report about corrupting in Punjab PML-N has started hue and cry the report, he added He reiterated his resolve to flush out corrupt and selfish politicians of the country and put an end to dynastic politics.

He said that the country is passing through a dangerous condition and added that militants' groups must be deweaponised and bring an end to VIP culture. Replying a question, he supported opening trade with India. He called upon the people to not vote for those who are honest people. "If you have a clean PM and ministers and a clear majority with one party, you can end corruption in even nine days," he said.
