The Punjab Government on Saturday approved the scheme of Transport Sector with an estimated cost of Rs 3,269.678 million for "Construction of Metro Bus Transit (MBT) System for Lahore-Ferozepur Road Corridor, Erection of Escalators and Platform Screen Doors at MBS Stations Package-IX (Revised)".

Eight development schemes of various sectors of the economy were also approved worth Rs 9,111.084 million in the 25th meeting of Provincial Development Working Party headed by Javaid Aslam, Chairman of the Punjab Planning and Development Board. Members of the Planning and Development Board and other senior representatives of the relevant Provincial Departments also participated in the meeting.
