Chairman of Pakistan People's Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Friday distributed compensation cheques among legal heirs of martyred workers of polio campaign in a ceremony held at the Chief Minister House. After recitation of Holy Qur'an, Fateha for Shaheed workers engaged in polio campaign was offered.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari expressed his grief and sorrows with relatives of affected workers. Later he distributed compensation cheques of Rs 0.5 million each for legal heirs of Shuhda from President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari and Rs 0.5 million each from Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah. Besides, two injured persons were given cheques of Rs 0.2 million each from President of Pakistan while cheques worth Rs 0.1 million each to both from Chief Minister Sindh.

The legal heirs of Fahmeda (late), Mahida (late), Naseem Akhtar (late) and Umar Farooq (late) received their compensation cheques, while the injured persons were also paid compensation cheques. Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah, Dr Azra Pechuho MNA, Muzaffar Awais, Shahnaz Wazeer, Chief Secretary Sindh Raja Muhammad Abbas, ACS (Home) Waseem Ahmed, Secretary Health Aftab Khatri, Commissioner Karachi Hashim Raza Zaidi, PD Polio Mazhar Khamisani and others were present in the ceremony.-PR
