They condemned the attacks on the people engaged in a campaign for a noble cause and demanded immediate measures by the government to ensure their safety and security. Pakistan Seraiki Party and Human Rights Foundation jointly organised a rally led by Babu Akram Ansari. They vowed to support to the volunteers serving anti polio drive to make Pakistan a polio-free country and they would not bow down before the terrorists.
They demanded arrest of the attackers and a Rs 2 million compensation for each deceased victim. They said that announcement for payment of Rs 0.5 million to the deceased families was not sufficient. They also called for the arrest of a religious party activist who, they claimed, threatened a lady health worker with dire consequences if she tried to enter his home for administering polio drops to his children.
