The Supreme Court on Friday reserved its judgement in the Reko Diq case. According to it, a short order in this regard will be announced on January 07. A three-judge bench led by the Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry heard the case. During the course of hearing, Tariq Asad contended that there was corruption in the Reko Diq mining lease and urged the bench to direct the concerned authorities to take action against Tethyan Copper Company (TCC).
Raza Kazim being amicus curiae suggested the court to form a commission under a retired judge of the Supreme Court.
