At least four people were injured when unknown miscreants hurled hand cracker on people standing on a footpath near Dua Restaurant in the limits of Kalri police station. The injured were identified as Murad son of Aleemullah, Nazir son of Zar Gul, Saeed son of Masroor Khan and Mohammad Jawaid.

According to Station House Officer (SHO) Chand Khan Niazi, unidentified miscreants riding a motorcycle hurled hand crackers on people busy in chitchat on a foot footpath near Dua Restaurant. He said that accused managed to flee after committing the crime. It is pertinent to mention here that such type of incidents have continuously been occurring in the area for last many months. Sources said that extortion mafia was very active in the area. Police said that they have started probe into the incident. No FIR was registered till filing of this report.
