The national flag carrier and Islamabad Stock Exchange Limited (ISE) have joined hands for mutual cooperation under which Pakistan International Airlines Company Limited (PIACL) would display model of its latest Boeing-777 on ISE Towers. A formal ceremony was held at ISE Secretariat on Thursday which was attended by the brokers and ISE management.

Mian Ayyaz Afzal, Managing Director ISE stated on the occasion that although PIA was passing through a tough time, however, it had the potential to be competitive and viable. The symbolic existence of PIA at ISE Towers was reflective of corporate social responsibility policy of the exchange. He said ISE has been facilitating corporate entities to interact with other entities for mutual interests.

Responding to various queries about demutualisation in the context of listing of new companies, Mian Ayyaz Afzal said that ISE could review its listing fees for further attraction on new listings. Agha Ali Akbar Pathan District Manager Islamabad of PIA said the management was making its best to streamline the affairs of the national flag carrier and he was optimistic that PIA will soon regain its status of most preferred airline. Agha appreciated the CSR policy of the exchange and thanked the management of ISE for facilitating the ceremony and display of model at prestigious building of ISE Towers.
