After the clear-cut directions of the Supreme Court regarding the arrest of former chairman Ogra, Tauqeer Sadiq, top officers of different law enforcing agencies held a meeting at the Police Club Lahore on Thursday. The IGP told the NAB officers said that the Punjab Police would leave no stone unturned to arrest the nation's criminal like Tauqeer Sadiq and also provide all possible help to the NAB authorities for this purpose.

On the recommendations of the NAB officials, the IGP Punjab constituted a 20-member police team to be headed by SP Malik Karamat Khokhar. This special team has been attached with the NAB along with logistic and technical support. The IGP also asked the SSP Islamabad Police to provide other required support to the NAB authorities in the Capital. The NAB authorities were also asked to take up the issue of the arrest of the Tauqeer Sadiq with the Federal Interior Ministry to form a Joint Investigations Team (JIT) comprising officers from the IB, MI and ISI.
