Public awareness seminar, poster exhibition competition and slogan-making competition were arranged here at Institute of Public Health (IPH) on Wednesday. The activity was arranged by IPH and Punjab AIDS Control Programme in reference to World AIDS Day. The poster of Dr Zarabia Butt was declared winner and slogan of Dr Afeera titled "There are limits of Allah don't approach them" was declared winner.

Dean IPH observed that there are 35 million patients of AIDS in the world and the fatal disease can only be checked by preventive measure like avoidance of unsafe and illegal sexual relationship, no use of untested and unsafe blood, destruction of used syringes and healthcare providers should not use contaminated and used instruments. Professor Shahid said that by behaviour change communication we can serve AIDS patient and can protect society also.
