Registrar of Defective Drug Inquiry Tribunal on Monday handed over a report to Punjab Home Secretary about the deaths of 100 cardiac patients after using spurious medicines. Tribunal's registrar Irfan Saeed presented the report to Home Secretary Shahid Khan in a simple ceremony held in Library of Lahore High Court.

Justice Ijazul Ahsan had conducted the inquiry on request of the provincial government. More than hundred cardiac patients had lost their lives across the province after using spurious medicines, supplied by Punjab Institute of Cardiology.
