Federal Board of Revenue (FBR's) spokesman has denied news reports by a section of media about tax figures of Chairman Public Accounts Committee, Nadeem Afzal Chan, MNA and Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar. Denying the CIRP report and terming its contents incorrect and mala fide, FBR clarifies that according to FBR's records, Nadeem Afzal Chan holds NTN number 2680841-1and and has been regularly paying his taxes as well as filing his tax returns.

The spokesman also clarified that Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar holds NTN number 0657857-8 registered since 26 October 1995. The spokesman further stated that according to FBR's records, Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar had paid Rs 119,102 in year 2011 and Rs 202,073 in the year 2012, and has been filing tax returns regularly.-PR
