As court resumed the proceedings, Wapda's counsel informed the court that 90 percent payment had been made to Independent Power Producers (IPPs) due to which load-shedding had decreased. At this, the chief justice said it seemed that issue of load-shedding belonged to financial problems of the authority instead of over-billing.
Chairman Judicial Activism Panel Muhammad Azhar Siddique prayed to the court to direct the respondents to submit load shedding schedule of high officials' residence including President House. He also requested the court to direct Nepra, Wapda, Pepco and Lesco to submit details disclosing about the electricity production sources through thermal, coal, gas, furnace oil, or solar.
