The announcement of Diango Cissoko's cabinet, made late Saturday, sees some key positions, including the Defence Ministry, assigned to figures linked to Captain Amadou Sanogo, who led a coup against the elected president in March.
Critics say Sanogo has remained too involved with politics after a civilian government was set up in September. Former prime minister Cheick Modibo Diarra was forced by the military to resign earlier this week and was held in detention for a night.
