Anti Violent Crime Cell (AVCC) of police on Sunday claimed to have recovered an abducted child from kidnappers from Brohi Goth in Gulshan-e-Maymar area. Police also killed one of the alleged kidnappers during encounter while other managed to flee under the cover of firing.

According to AVCC, on a tip off police raided a house in Brohi Goth and recovered Usman, 6, kidnapped from Sultanabad on Friday, after a brief encounter. The victim was the son of prominent businessman, who run showroom in Quetta. The accused demanded Rs 20 million as extortion for the release of the child. The body of the kidnapper was shifted to Abassi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) for medico legal formalities.
