President Azif Ali Zardari has refused to accept the apology of the Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik despite hectic efforts of their mutual friends and other key personalities. A private TV channel in its report on Saturday, quoting sources, said that "efforts were under way to search for a person to replace Rehman Malik."

The report said Rehman Malik also visited United Kingdom in his efforts to have a chance of meeting with President Zardari during his recent visit there, but his wish could not materialise. He also held meeting with the MQM chief Altaf Hussain and later with PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto and tried to use their channels but so far Rehman remained unlucky to achieve his objective.
