The Chief Executive Officer of Midas Communications, Islamabad, Nadeem Akbar has called upon the Punjab government and others to appreciate the company's independent status and immaculate image as an agency that upholds the highest values of integrity and honesty.

"Midas Communications is a fully independent communications concern headquartered in Islamabad and it has nothing to do with Midas (Pvt) Limited Lahore," Nadeem said in a statement issued here on Friday, adding the similarity of names between Midas Communications, Islamabad and Lahore-based Midas was inflicting colossal 'collateral damage' to his company.

Underlining the independent status of Midas Communications, Islamabad with regard to Punjab Government's ongoing action against the other company, he said: "They have locked their horns over some media campaigns run by 'that agency' for the Punjab Government. Punjab government was never our client; we are based in Islamabad and that explains it all," the CEO of Midas Communications asserted.

He urged the Punjab Government, the media organisations and 'all others' to mention 'complete and exact' name of 'that agency' and the directors involved, in their correspondence, reporting or communications as "this confusion is tarnishing our image in the market and has grave implications for us."-PR
