Taiwan stocks rose 0.9 percent to its highest level in nearly three months, tracking gains in other regional bourses as flat-panel maker Chimei Innolux surged on a media report that the company expects to post a profit next year. The main TAIEX index jumped 66.90 points to 7,757.09 on Thursday, its highest closing level since September 24. Chimei, the world's No 3 flat panel maker, and smaller rival AU Optronics were both up by their daily limit of 7 percent. The Taiwan dollar climbed T$0.05 to stand at T$29.058.
