The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has been investigating 173 projects since March 2012, having financial impact of Rs 1.475 trillion on the economy. "The NAB under its awareness and prevention policy framework has put 173 projects at federal and provincial level to scrutiny, carrying financial impact of Rs 1.475 trillion," a spokesman said.

He said the NAB is in the process of preparing a position paper pertaining to wastage of public resources due to inefficiency and lack of experience by the concerned stakeholders. The spokesman said this paper would be shared with media on Friday (December 14). The NAB chairman has said on different occasions that corruption of about Rs 6-7 billion is committed daily in Pakistan, the spokesman added.
