During the meeting, views were exchanged on national and political situation especially with reference to Balochistan. They also discussed matters pertaining to forthcoming elections and other matters of mutual interest, sources said. Talking to BNP leaders, Nawaz said that solution of the problems of the people of Balochistan and arrest of murderers of Nawab Akbar Bugti are essential for removing the sense of deprivation of the Balochi people. He said that the repeated martial laws have promoted a sense of deprivation in Balochistan while the present government has done nothing for redressing their grievances and rather aggravated their problems.
He said it is national responsibility that the complaints of the people of Balochistan should be redressed and given their due rights. Nawaz also expressed his good wishes for Sardar Ata Ullah Khan Mengal and Sardar Akhtar Mengal. Moreover, former federal minister belonging to Faisalabad, Raja Nadir Pervaiz also met Nawaz Sharif in Raiwind and discussed political situation. Kh. Muhammad Asif and Senator Pervaiz Rashid were also present on the occasion. Matters pertaining to forthcoming elections were also discussed.
