Sindh Government under section 144 CrPC has imposed complete ban on illegal excavation/lifting of sand, hill- sand and precious stones and cutting/movement transpiration of trees within the revenue/state limits of district Thatta for a period of 60 days with immediate effect.

In this regard, Sindh Home department has issued a notification here on Monday, stating that the police officers from the rank of assistant sub inspectors for concerned police stations are authorised to register the complaints under section 188 PPC in writing for the violation of section 144 CrPC against the violators.
