A cargo volume of 119,324 tonnes comprising 72,456 tonnes of import cargo and 46,868 tonnes of export cargo inclusive 3,597 loaded & empty containers (TEUs) was handled at Port Qasim during the last 24 hours on Saturday. The total import cargo of 72,456 tonnes includes 18,759 tonnes of diesel oil; 15,500 tonnes of palm oil; 12,705 tonnes of iron ore and 25,292 tonnes of containerised cargo.

The total export cargo of 46,868 tonnes includes 744 tonnes of wheat and 46,124 tonnes of containerised cargo. A container ship namely CV Lantau Arrow sailed out to sea on Saturday morning. A total number of seven vessels viz CV Lantau Arrow, CV MSC Clementina, MV Sai Eternity, MV Beautyful Rena, Al-Salam-II, MV KPS-1 Alican Bey and MT Bunga Angelica are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, wheat, iron ore, diesel oil and palm oil respectively during the last 24 hours. No ships are currently at the outer anchorage of Port Qasim. No ships are expected to take berths on Saturday. No ships are due to arrive on Saturday as per arrival schedule.
