Veteran Test cricketer, Mohammad Yousuf has said that he missed the three matches of the ongoing National T20 Cup due to sickness of his two children. "There is nothing behind my absence but the sickness of my children and I preferred my family over cricket because family comes first in all the circumstances", he told APP here on Friday after back in the team for its match against Sialkot Stallions.

He said first his daughter got sick and then his son caught viral infection and these circumstances forced him to skip the matches with a valid justification. Yousuf, who withdrew as Lahore Lion's captain in favour of Pakistan T20 captain Muhammad Hafeez played one match of the event, but did not bat as his side knocked off the necessary runs against Karachi Zebras in the opening tie.

"I am back and I will be playing the remaining matches of the event", he said adding "I will be doing my best to deliver in the role of a batsman and to contribute in lifting the performance of my team", said the stylish middle order batsman. Yousuf expressed his gratitude to President, Lahore City Cricket Association, Khawaja Nadim Ahmad for giving him the opportunity to be a part of Lahore team which has exhibited splendid show in the event. "Lahore has always given me honour and LCCA has always encouraged me in my cricket endeavours", he asserted. To a question, he said, his services are always available for Pakistan cricket and he is in good fitness and form.
