Pakistan on Friday strongly condemned the attack in Kabul the other day that wounded Assadullah Khalid, head of the Afghan National Directorate of Security. A statement of Ministry of Foreign Affairs says, "Our thoughts and prayers are with him. We hope for his early recovery".

It further states Pakistan remains committed to peace and stability in Afghanistan. The two countries face the common threat of terrorism. We will continue to work closely with Afghanistan to eliminate this scourge, it added.-PR
