The closing ceremony of this IRP course was organised at MUET. Pro Vice Chancellor, MUET, Professor Dr Muhammad Aslam Uqqaili was the Chief Guest in concluding session. The main objective of this IRP course was to enhance the teaching skills of English Teachers of interior Sindh and motivate them to be more creative and modify their teaching styles. The workshop was very successful; University and College teachers went through a variety of sessions covering topics based on communicative language teaching (CLT) principles.
They practised the principles of lesson planning and got the ideas to make their classes interactive and interesting. The most interesting session was the "Running Dictation" which was based on co-operative learning. All the participants enjoyed the course and expressed their wish to have such type of professional development activities regularly and they thanked the faculty of English Language Development Center, for making all the arrangements on the campus of Mehran University for this training programme. Speaking on the occasion, Pro vice-chancellor Professor Dr Muhammad Aslam Uqqaili appreciated the efforts of Higher Education Commission, American Consulates Resource Person and the faculty members of ELDC.
