Guwar prices were sharply higher on the wholesale grain market on Thursday in the process slow trading, dealers said. On the grams side, Guwar low type lost Rs 1500 to Rs 13000 and the best type was down by Rs 2000 to Rs 14000, Bajra low type gained Rs 100 to Rs 2600 while the best type maintained overnight level at Rs 3600, they said.

On the seeds side, Til low type was up by Rs 300 to Rs 5100 and the best type rose by Rs 100 to Rs 5300, cottonseeds oilcake with bag Sindh (old) were unchanged at Rs 400-500, while the cottonseeds oilcake with bag Sindh (New) did not show any change at Rs 900 while the good type was lower by Rs 20 to Rs 1000, they added. Prices on the rice and cereals sectors were inert in process of trading, they said.
