In Lahore, long queues of vehicles were witnessed early morning at the stations that were selling gas but most of the stations remained closed due to the CNG association's strike.
Commuters were facing severe difficulties as most of them had been waiting in the queues since midnight to get CNG and blamed the CNG association for this misery. The CNG association is on strike due to differences with Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra) over the pricing formula and that is why most of the stations are not selling CNG.
Chairman All Pakistan CNG Association Punjab Captain Shuja Anwar (Retd) while talking to Business Recorder said that association has not given call of any strike adding that it depends upon the CNG station owners that if they think that it is viable for them to sell gas on current price. It is pertinent to mention here that in an attempt to put pressure on the government to increase the per kilo price of the compressed natural gas (CNG), most of the CNG stations remained closed in Lahore for the past whole week.
