The 7th convocation of Beaconhouse National University (BNU) will be held on Saturday (tomorrow) at the New Campus, Raiwind Road, Lahore. The ceremony will be presided over by Federal Minister of Finance, Abdul Hafeez Shaikh. Also present will be Chairperson, BNU Board of Governors, Mrs Nasreen Mahmud Kasuri, Vice Chancellor, Sartaj Aziz, Khurshid Mahmud Kasuri, Kasim Mahmud Kasuri, Dr Parvez Hassan, Mueen Afzal, Shamim S Khan and other members of the Board of Governors of BNU.

A total of 315, students will be receiving their degrees in the convocation (largest so far). Out of these 170 will be receiving M. Phil, MS and Masters Degrees and 145 will be receiving Bachelor degrees. This year, a total of 23 gold medals will be awarded to graduating students in recognition of academic excellence achieved by them in their specific disciplines. The Arfa Karim Gold Medal will be awarded to Roshaan Malik of the School of Computer and IT (SCIT) while the Nasim Hijazi Gold Medal will be awarded to Alizeh Khalid Yousuf of School of Media and Mass Communication (SMC).-PR
