Til and Juwar prices went up as winter season started in the country, dealers said on the wholesale grain market on Tuesday. On the seeds side, as winter season started, til prices started going up due to rising demand by buyers, dealers said. Til low type was higher by Rs 300 to Rs 4800 and the better type gained Rs 400 to Rs 5200, cakes low variety was down by Rs 40 to Rs 1330 and best quality was lower by Rs 35 to Rs 1340, other items were unchanged in the process of slow trading, they said.

On the cereals side, Juwar rose by Rs 200 to Rs 2200-2400, Gur low type followed same trend, picking up Rs 200 to Rs 5000, while the fine type was inert at Rs 5500, Masoor Canada quoted lower at Rs 5000 and Urad from Burma lost Rs 50 to Rs 2650, they said. On the grams side, grams 50x50 drifted lower by Rs 800 to Rs 7200-7600, balanced demand and supply did not permit the other items to look any other side, holding the overnight levels in process of thin trading, they said.
