The total export cargo of 38,864 tonnes comprised 33,664 tonnes of containerised cargo and 5,200 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo. As many as 3,789 containers comprising 1,173 containers import and 2,616 containers export were handled during the last 24 hours on Monday.
The brakeup of imported containers shows 444 of 20's and 298 of 40's loaded while 115 of 20's and 9 of 40's empty containers, whereas that of exported containers shows 884 of 20's and 549 of 40's loaded containers while 120 of 20's and 257 of 40's empty containers were handled during the business hours. There are five ships namely wan Hai-601, Cape Flores, YM Ningbo, Jolly and Chem World with four container shipsand one oil tanker respectively sailed out to sea during the reported period.
There are four vessels viz MOL Dignity, MT Lahore, Chabok and Vinalines Sky with one container ship, one oil tanker, one landing craft and one general cargo ship respectively are currently at the berths. A container ship namely MOL Dignity sailed out to sea on Monday, while three ships namely MT Lahore, Chabok and Vinalines Sky with one oil tanker, one landing craft and one general cargo ship respectively are expected to sail on Tuesday.
There are four vessels viz Hyundai Freedom, CSAV Lanalhuf, Amanda and Cosco Tengfei with three container ships and one vehicles carrier respectively due to arrive on Monday, while six vessels viz UASC Ajman, Kota Gunawan, Bon Chem, Alpine Moment, Ikan Sagai and Fu Yu Shan with two container ships, one ethanol tanker, one mogas ship, one coal carrier and one general cargo ship respectively are due to arrive on Tuesday.
The total export cargo includes 1,342 tonnes of wheat. There are three ships namely MT Al Marzoqah, MT Chem Road Haya and MV Harsanadi with furnace oil, edible oil and chemical sailed out to sea on Monday. A total number of four vessels viz MT Al Marzoqah, MT Chem Road Haya, MV Harsanadi and MV Sai Eternity are currently occupying berths to load/offload furnace oil, edible oil, chemical and wheat respectively during the last 24 hours.
As many as two ships namely Chem Road Mega and Arietis with edible oil and crude oil respectively are currently at the outer anchorage of Port Qasim. There are two vessels viz MT Chem Road Mega and MT Arietis with edible oil and crude oil are expected to take berths at FOTCO Oil Terminal and Liquid Cargo Terminal respectively on Monday.
