In reference to a news item titled 'Three sugar mills fail to pay over Rs 10m cane cess", carried by Business Recorder on November 24, 2012, the management of Ansari Sugar Mill, Matli has clarified that an amount of Rs 75, 53,461.00 at the rate 50 paisa per 40 Kg on account of sugar cane (development) cess for the crushing season 2010-11, has already been deposited at the office of Cane Commissioner Sindh.

Nothing is outstanding against the Sugar Mill on account of sugar cane (development) cess for said crushing season.
