Realising its social responsibility, POF administration organised a free medical camp at Mirza village near Sanjwal Cantt in which 82 senior specialist doctors of various departments of POF Hospital and more than 100 medical and administrative staff took part, says a press release issued on Monday.

More than 5,000 patients were examined by the doctors and they were given free medicines on this occasion. Those patients who required laboratory tests, ultrasound or ECG were done on the spot. 30 students of Wah Medical College also participated in the medical camp.

Lectures on sugar, blood pressure and hepatitis were also delivered to give information about these diseases to the residents of the village and surrounding areas while information regarding basic principles of health and cleanliness were discriminated to the school children through multimedia.

Samples of waters of Mirza village were also got tested on this occasion. Riaz Ahmed, Member POF Board inaugurated the free medical camp while Muhammad Asif, Member POF Board was the chief guest of concluding ceremony. Addressing on this occasion, Comdt POF Hospital announced to provide water cooler and water filtration plant to three schools of Mirza village and free medical treatment to these schools of the village. POF hospital expressed his gratitude for special co-operation of District Administration Attock and EDO Health in holding this camp.-PR
