The Lahore High Court on Monday summoned secretary local government for December 10 in a petition of work-charged employees of city district government seeking contempt proceedings against the authorities for not regularising their (petitioners) services despite clear court order.

The employee Arshad and others contended that they had been working for the last 20 years but their services were not confirmed. They said during hearing of their earlier petition in October last the government had undertaken to regularise services of all work-charged employees. The petitioners pleaded that the order had not been implemented so far. They urged the court to take action against the authorities for not complying with the court order.
