Long queues of motorists were witnessed on roads in the twin cities of Rawalpindi/Islamabad owing to the on-going unannounced strike of the Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) stations causing serious problems for the masses. Majority of the gas stations remained closed on Monday in protest against what their owners claim is a "highly unreasonable" retail price of CNG causing them massive financial losses.

Earlier, All Pakistan CNG Association had claimed that no formal strike had been announced by the Association and station operators were observing strike on their own accord.
