Unknown armed men gunned down a man in Jaffarabad district on Sunday. According to police, the victim identified as Doctor Shamsuddin was on his way home when armed assailants opened fire on him and fled from the scene.

As a result, he sustained multiple bullet wounds and died on the spot. The body of the deceased was handed over to the heirs after completion of legal formalities. The reason behind the killing could not be ascertained. Police are looking into the matter.
