He said that out of these Development Projects, major schemes have already been completed while the Heads of Departments have been directed to accomplish the remaining development projects before the end of January 2013.
EDO (Finance and Planning) Muhammad Ayub Khan informed the Meeting that under the Annual Development Programme, 176 development projects would be executed with a total cost of Rs 2,667 million and added that so far 71 schemes under this head have been completed which involved expenditure of Rs 1,367 million. Similarly, 269 development projects are being completed with cost of rupees 2,020 million out of Tide Grant while 240 schemes have been started with 900 million rupees grant of MPAs. He told that work over 35 projects under these schemes has been completed.
Managing Director, WASA, Syed Zahid Aziz, informed the Meeting that 9 Water supply and sewerage schemes are being undertaken by utilising the funds of Rs 528 million and added that over 93 percent work of these schemes has been completed while 2 new would be undertaken by utilising an amount of rupees 100.
Managing Director, Parks and horticulture, Ashiq Dogar, informed the meeting that 222 million are being spent on development of various parks and green belts in Faisalabad. Additional District Collector, Syed Bilal Haider, informed the meeting about the recovery pace of government revenue and heads of all the departments have been advised to strictly adhere to the government instructions for expeditious recovery of the government dues as no leniency would be tolerated in this regard.
