High-level talks between the United States and Pakistan on defence co-operation will be held in Rawalpindi on December 3 (today). A twenty-four member US delegation led by the Vice Defence Minister for American Policy Dr James Miller, has arrived in Islamabad to participate in the session.

Pakistani delegation will be headed by Defence Minister, Naveed Qamar. Secretary Defence Lieutenant-General Asif Yasin Malik (Retd) will also attend the meeting. The two sides are expected to hold extensive talks on defence keeping in view of recent meeting of Pakistan's interior minister with his Afghan counterpart. Senior officials of Pakistan armed forces and ISI chief Lt-General Zaheer-ul-Islam will also attend the meeting.
