He said he is here to spread the message of peace through sports. He added that he had embraced Islam in Iraq and now his Islamic name is Muhammad Hussain Anoki. He said he had given the sacrifice of two goats after embracing Islam. He said he does not know much about Islam; but, he is raring to learn much about it. Anoki expressed his pleasure over his visit to Lahore and remembered Akram and Jharra Pehalwan. He said that he wishes to promote wrestling in Asia and wants to train the Pakistani youngsters in this sport. Anoki is among those wrestlers from Japan who are taking part in the International Sports and Peace Wrestling Festival in Lahore on Sunday (today).
It may be noted that Sports Board Punjab is holding the International Sports and Peace Wrestling Festival in Lahore on Sunday to mark the 60 years of sporting relations between Pakistan and Japan. Anoki also visited the graves of Akram and Jharra Pehalwan to pay tribute to them. He also visited their residences here at Mohni Road to condole with the heirs of late Pakistani wrestlers. He said he intends to take children of Akram and Jharra Pehalwan to Japan for training of wrestling. On the occasion, the elder brother of Jharra Pehalwan presented "Gurs" to Anoki.
