He said that all angles would be taken into consideration as medicines reaching the retailers after passing through a number of people and involvement of any of them cannot be ruled out. He announced formation of a committee including three pharma industry members and Provincial Secretary Health that would hold meeting on Sunday (today) to finalise future strategy to the Syrup issue.
He said that the findings of the committee would be shared with media but media trial of this large industry cannot be allowed. He said that test reports are awaited as the reports received so far are clear and there is no poisonous content is found. Speaking on the occasion, the LCCI President Farooq Iftikhar said that it is responsibility of the government to take immediate measures for the damages, as Reko pharma has been working for the last 50 years with honestly and dedication. M/s. Reko pharma are manufacturers of over 100 medicines and have never had any quality issue till to date."
