The Council of Herbal Physicians Pakistan secretary general Hakim Qazi M A Khalid has said the camel meat cures old fever, pain, hepatitis-C and urinary diseases. Hakim Khalid said here on Wednesday that the camel meat is though rare for common consumption but it is available in abundance on Eid ul Azha.

He said the camel meat is also useful as a general tonic for neurological weakness of human body. About 100-gram camel meat is sufficient for a doze, he added.

He, however, advised the people to abstain from using meat and beef in excessive quantity to avoid stomach related diseases. He was of the view that meat either of camel or goat should be cooked after proper washing at least 6-7 hours after slaughtering.
