Liaquat National Hospital (LNH) is continuing its relief and rescue services for earthquake victims at Abbotabad, however it is running desperately short of Anaesthetist and requested volunteers to come forward and submit their names.

Orthopaedic and plastic surgeons along with Anaesthetics are busy in surgeries round the clock at Gilani Hospital Abbotabad, said a spokesperson of LNH here on Thursday.

About 500 patients are under care at DHQ Hospital while 150 post-operative patients are at Gilani Hospital, Abbottabad. Two consultant surgeons are leading the team of Medical Offices, paramedics and physiotherapists. They are managing critical post-operative patients at Gilani and DHQ hospitals.

Another team comprising surgeons, physicians, anaesthetists, paramedical and physiotherapy staff will leave to continue the activities on Saturday. All the activities at Abbottabad are being done with collaboration of Pakistan Army and Pakistan Air Force which is providing travelling facilities on regular basis.
