Meanwhile, election activities of Piaf-Founders Alliance and The Founders have gained momentum. According to a spokesman of the Piaf-Founders Alliance, its Associate class candidates Mian Abuzar Shad, Mian Ahmed Fazil, Khamis Saeed Butt and Shafqat Saeed Paracha continued their meetings with LCCI members from Shah Alam Market, Shah Gate Shoe Market, Ainak Market, Rang Mahal and Soha Bazar. The Piaf Vice-Chairmen Mubshar Sheikh and Raees A. Sheikh accompanied them.

The spokesman claimed that they had succeeded in achieving the support of a large number of LCCI voters from Lahore including Ganpat road, Urdu Bazar, Science Market, Medical Market, Ravi Road, Timber Market, Bilal Ganj, Hall Road, Link Mcleod Road, Patiala Ground, Lunda Bazar, Steel Sheet Market, Mcleod Road, Chamberlane Road, Nisbat Road, Salai Machine market, Ferozepur Road, Wahdat Road, Branderth Road, Neela Gumband Cycle Market, Mall Road, Anjum Tajran, Qaumi Tajir Ittehad, Badami Bagh, Gulberg, Liberty, Hafeez Center and Defence.

Meanwhile, The Founders President and Senior Vice-Chairman Munir Ahmad Khan have claimed that their group has always fielded educated and capable leadership to lead the business community and this year too its candidates are educated and capable enough to ensure solution to the problems being faced by the business community.

In a joint statement issued here on Wednesday they said that the major reason for separation of their group from the elders was that Farooq Iftikhar was nominated for the slot of President neglecting the merit. They said that they brought forward those persons for administrative posts who were capable and educated but opponents never brought forward candidates on merit.
