After visiting various departments of the University, the Indian journalist said he did not find words for the University's praise because he used to think that Sir Syed Ahmed Khan now did not have any other institution. But when he came to Karachi and was told about the University in the name of Sir Syed Ahmed Khan, he was surprised and expressed the desire to first visit that institution. "Factually Sir Syed University is a big institution, educationally, and extra-academically and those who founded it, have in fact accomplished a major task."
He requested Z A Nizami that whenever a major programme was organised by SSUET, the Vice-Chancellor of Aligarh University should also be invited so that he could also have an understanding about this University.
He regretted at Aligarh University, the name of Sir Syed was mentioned only on the occasion of annual dinners. He said he had seen the picture of Sir Syed Ahmed Khan during his studentship and now in the conference room of this University. Pushpendra stressed on strengthening of relations between Aligarh and Sir Syed University, and exchange of their respective publications.
On the occasion, Chancellor Z A Nizami said Aligarh Muslim University Old Boys Association under the Aligarh spirit has established SSUET. He informed at present 7,000 students were studying in the university in different disciplines and they were being imparted quality education in various fields of engineering.
