Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) outgunned Allied Bank Limited (ABL) by four goals to one in the 52nd National Hockey Championship at the UBL Sports Complex here on Tuesday. Mehmood, Mukhtar, Kamran and Aamir Saleem found the traget for PIA while ABL's lone goal was slotted home by skipper Mohammad Sarwar.

In the concluding encounter of the afternoon at the Hockey Club of Pakistan (HCP) Stadium, National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) effortlessly, swept aside the visiting Chinese provincial team Gunsu by four gaols to one after storming to a 3-1 gain at the breather.

Pakistan striker Tariq Aziz found the net twice for the bankers while penalty corner specialist Tariq Warsi and Olympian Maohammad Nadeem Andy completed the tally. For Gansu (China), Zuo Peng notched up the consolation goal.

In the rest of the seven encounters carded for the day, Pakistan Air Force (PAF) managed to maintain their winning sequence by nosing past Pakistan Police by two goals to one after the airmen led one-nil at half-time.

Pakistan Railways were engaged in a three-all draw against Habib Bank Limited (HBL) after both team were locked at 2-2 at the change of ends.

Pakistan Steel Mill brushed aside Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) by four goals to three after enjoying a 3-1 advantage at the interval.

Pakistan Army swamped POF Wah by four gaols to one after the latter had surged to a 1-0 lead at lemon time. Pakistan Television (PTV) was more than a handful for the inexperienced HEC and conjured up an eight goal to two victory after sweeping to a 2-1 lead at the interval.
