Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Major General Asif Ghafoor on Monday congratulated and appreciated Samar Khan for being the world's first lady cyclist to bicycle on 4500 meters high Biafo Glacier. Outside the Polar Regions, the Biafo Glacier is the world's third longest glacier.

The cyclist from Lower Dir district called on the ISPR executive at the General Headquarters and apprised him of her efforts to promote culture of sports amongst the youth, especially girls, and create awareness about climate change. She also discussed about her upcoming expedition to Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest peak in Africa. The DG ISPR appreciated her achievements and assured her full support on her efforts.

The Cyclist holds a Masters degree in Physics. She discovered her passion for sports during a paragliding course in Army School of Physical Training, Kakul.
