The participating companies included Sabzi.pk which is an online market place for farmers and consumers. It aims to provide people with quality vegetables at their doorstep. Secondly, Dielicious which is a weight loss service programme, providing customized meals to the target market. Thirdly, Pak Straw which is an innovation based company that aims to provide a device which can filter 1500 liters of contaminated water with minimal cost and the last company named Repair Desk, which is an IT based company that has launched integrated POS & ERP software for record keeping that would be the foremost software to be used in Pakistan.
According to the spokesperson of the PBIT the meeting focused on the product and services provided by these startup companies as well as the issues that are being faced by the entrepreneurs while setting up their businesses. The meeting discussed key issues faced by startups which included legal issues faced by them. The meeting also discussed the incentives given by the government to startups. CEO PBIT Jahanzeb Burana promised to raise their issues on the right forums. PBIT being a premiere investment promotion agency of Punjab will facilitate the young startups in overcoming the issues in all possible ways.
