The Governor told the delegation that more than 100,000 Sikh pilgrims are expected to visit Pakistan on the occasion of 550th anniversary of Baba Guru Nanak. "This historical step is a part of the arrangements to celebrate the anniversary and the Sikhs in large numbers will simultaneously arrive in Pakistan for very first time. Prime Minister Imran Khan will inaugurate Kartarpur corridor in the second week of November," he added.
On Prime Minister Imran Khan's address to the United Nations, he said that they expect that his speech will shake the world conscience and will take a notice of the Indian atrocities and human rights violation in Kashmir. "The Indian move to lift the restrictions during day time in Kashmir is mere a drama, India must lift complete curfew from Kashmir," he added.
He further said that India must stop this drama by releasing the detained Kashmiris, lift the curfew and resolve the Kashmir issue as per the United Nations resolution. "It is about time for the world to come forward to force India to end the oppression in Kashmir; if the Kashmir issue is not resolved, there will be no peace in this region," he added.
