Mayor Karachi Wasim Akhtar on Friday said the city has been divided into many organizations and people don't know who is responsible for what. Mayor expressed these views while talking to a delegation of Christian community led by Bishop of Karachi and Balochistan, Sadiq Daniel who called on him in his office on Friday. Mayor said KMC is carrying out its duties; however, it has no such resources or power that could bring considerable changes. He said the city condition was before everyone and this was the reason of wrong planning, bad governance and total failure. Karachiites are suffering due to these mistakes.

He said we are raising voice to create awareness without any political agenda but purely an effort to find the solution of city problems and bring improvement. Mayor Karachi said results can not be achieved with poor system and we need to make local bodies strong. The mayor has been made powerless in our country because political parties want to keep the local bodies system weak and powerless.

Bishop Sadiq Daniel said Karachi is an international city and therefore, it must get special attention. We got a beautiful city but we could not even maintain its beauty, still a little bit attention could make it a great city again.
