"There is no political party behind our strike call as I myself belong to PTI," Ajmal Baloch said. The FBR had offered the traders union representatives including All Pakistan Anjuman-e-Tajiran (APAT) Chairman Ajmal Baloch, Central General Secretary Naeem Mir and others to participate in the meeting on Friday.
"There would be no comprise on the CNIC condition and we will show our power on October 7," he threatened. Traders had announced to start protests from October 7 against the government's decisions to register traders with the sales tax department, fixed income tax scheme and condition of computerized national identity cards (CNIC) numbers of unregistered buyers.
