Provincial Minister for Information & Culture Mian Aslam Iqbal has said that martyrs are the pride of the whole nation and we pay tributes to all those mothers who send their sons to borders for the defence of the country. The peace and tranquility in Pakistan is the result of sacrifices rendered by brave martyrs and ghazis. He expressed these views while addressing a ceremony at Alhamra Hall in memory of martyrs and ghazis, here on Wednesday.

Mian Aslam Iqbal said that proud nations never forget their martyrs. There is a need to constantly remind the youth about the great sacrifices rendered by martyrs for the country. Lieutenant-General Dr Sohail Abbas Jafferi, Major General Shafiq Ahmed, Shahad Rafiq, Aziz Sheikh, Kaleem Ahmad, Ghulam Murtaza Ejaz and Samreen Shehzad also addressed the function. Later, the minister distributed medals among the persons showing best performance in different walks of life.
