The geographical study of Karachi Metropolitan Corporation's 'Kidney Hill' Park also known as 'Ahmed Ali Park' has been completed while landscaping work will begin soon. The Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) officials said the geographical study report of this 62-acre recreational facility has been presented before the Metropolitan Commissioner Dr Syed Saif-ur-Rehman.

On the directives of the Supreme Court, KMC has started the landscaping and map preparation works after finishing the geographical study and topographic survey of the Kidney Hill Park in KDA Scheme-32. Saif-ur-Rehman along with the technical experts also visited the recreational facility to inspect the working activities.

Saif said that this 62-acre piece of land would be made a city forest. The Corporation has to renovate this space now after removing encroachments. He said seating arrangements for visitors, clean drinking water, lighting arrangements, walking track, children playing area and other facilities will be provided at the park. He said water and electricity lines will be installed and for this purpose an experts' team was working on a scheme.
